Palmer Ridge's Fly Sweep Trick Touchdown
In the final game of the regular season Palmer Ridge took a visit to Discovery Canyon, the winner would be named the Pikes Peak Athletic Conference champion. In true Bears fashion, they pulled out all the stops in the final game of the regular season. In one of the first plays of the game, three-star quarterback Luke McAllister would hand the pall off to another three-star athlete, Kaden Dudley, who was running a fly sweep. After getting the hand off, Dudley pulled up, and fired a ball down field to a wide open Anthony Costanzo, another three-star athlete, for the touchdown. Palmer Ridge would end up losing the game to Discovery Canyon, but go onto win the 3A state title game for the third year in a row.
Pueblo West's 'He Got Mossed'
In Pueblo West's playoff game against Montrose, the Cyclones were just the better team. The best example would be when quarterback Chandler Mason threw up a 50-50 ball into the end zone. In true Randy Moss fashion, 6' 4" tight end Makai Funaki would go up over his defender to make the catch for the touchdown. Pueblo West would go onto win the game, but lose to Pine Creek in the semfinals of the 4A playoffs.
Harrison's One-Handed Flee Flicker
In rivalry game between Harrison and Sierra, no love was lost on the Stallions. The Panthers would pull out all the stops, including a flee-flicker from Kahli Dotison to a wide open Seth Fuller, for the touchdown. Fuller would make a one-handed catch on the tricky play. Harrison would go onto win the game over Sierra, 55 to12.
