With the sports scene coming to a complete halt due to COVID-19, News 5 Sports is getting creative and letting YOU, the viewers, vote on our top dunks, plays, passes, jersey's, etc of the year.

This week, we kick off our Best of News 5 Sports with the 'Assist of the Year'.

Fountain Fort Carson's Torie Bass

Bass is one of the best point guard in Southern Colorado and in the Lady Trojans game against Columbine, it was on full display. Bass went no-look pass to teammate Tauja Durham for the open lay-up. FFC would end up losing the game to Columbine in overtime, 51 to 39 to end their season in the second round of the 5A playoffs.

Double Manitou Springs Trouble

The Manitou Springs Mustangs were all about sharing the ball this year, especially in their game against Salida. Manitou Springs' Isaiah Thomas with some great ball movement around the top of the key. He would get the ball back and knock down the open three. Then later, it's the Mustangs' Joah Armour, who while falling down, somehow passes the ball to Caleb Allen who hits the three. Manitou Springs would roll over Salida, 82 to 61, but lose in the Sweet 16 to Centauri, 68 to 53.

Evangelical Christian's Landon Bunker

Evangelical Christian's Landon Bunker made have made pass not many NBA players can make. Bunker, on a fast break, going behind-the-back to find a cutting Jason Holt for the finish. The Eagles would go onto beat Pikes Peak Christian, 68 to 54 before losing in the Great 8 to Mile High Academy, 70 to 63.
