UCCS' Wang named RMAC defensive player of the year

COLORADO SPRINGS — University of Colorado Colorado Springs senior guard Padiet Wang was named the 2019-2020 RMAC conference defensive player of the year on Tuesday, becoming the first UCCS student-athlete in program history to earn the individual award.

Wang was also named to the All-RMAC second team as well.

A recent member of the UCCS 1,000-point club, Wang became the school's all-time steals leader this past Friday, recording his 151st career steal. This season, he is fifth in the league in steals (1.8 per game) and seventh in assists (3.8 per game) and earned RMAC Player of the Week honors four times (two defensive, two offensive).
