Three boys basketball teams from Southern Colorado took the court Saturday in the Class 4A Great 8, two will be moving on to the Final Four in Denver.
In a day of big upsets, No. 11 TCA topped No. 3 Longmont on the road, 42-39 for their first trip to the state semifinals.
Not to be outdone, No. 10 Pueblo West hung tough late to edge No. 2 Glenwood Springs, 44-40.
The Titans and Cyclones will meet next Friday at the Denver Coliseum with a trip to the championship on the line.
In yet another hostile environment, Pueblo East played a spirited 32 minutes of basketball before falling at Northfield, 50-39.
