SOUTHERN COLORADO — The Pikes Peak Athletic Conference standings are starting to heat up in the final week of the regular season.

On Friday, the Rampart Rams hosted the Lewis-Palmer Rangers, while the Liberty Lancers traveled to Fountain-Fort Carson.

Starting in Colorado Springs, the Rams & the Rangers were in a back and forth affair in the first half, putting up 41 points total in the first quarter.

But the Rams run and gun attack was neutralized by the Rangers in the second half, giving Lewis-Palmer(7-1) the 78 to 65 win.

It was LP's 4th straight win, as they host Pine Creek on Saturday.

The Rams fell to 7-3 and will host Douglas County on Saturday.

Down in Fountain, the Trojans took care of business against the Liberty Lancers, winning 68 to 59.

Fountain-Fort Carson will face Lewis-Palmer on the road in their next game, looking to extend their winning streak to 5 (both teams are currently on a 4-game winning streak).

Liberty (5-4) will also hit the road to face Castle View on Saturday.
