COLORADO SPRINGS — Rampart senior two-way football standout Cale Cormaney committed to Division II power Fort Hays State Tuesday afternoon.

"It has always been a dream of mine to play at the next level and it's finally coming true, can't wait to compete and show what I can do," Cormaney said. "Earn my role at Fort Hays, really looking forward to it and can't wait to get started.

Saving his best for last, the Rams starting quarterback compiled 19 total touchdowns while adding two interceptions on defense. The 6'3, 215 lb. standout impressed the Tigers coaching staff with his versatility and should be an impact player early in the MIAA.

"They recruited me as an athlete so wherever they need me, they did talk about being a "flex" tight end because of my size and speed," Cormaney said. "I'm looking forward to helping the team in any way I can."

FHSU did not play in 2020 but finished 8-3 in 2019.
