News 5 Sports closes our 2019 high school football honors with the "Special Teams Play of the Year".

This year's winner comes from a rivalry showdown at Dutch Dlark Stadium this past October between Pueblo Central and Pueblo County.

"Perfect game with the snow, time to make some big plays," Clay said.

In a game that saw the Wildcats force six turnovers, they saved their best for the second quarter.

Leading 7-0 with the Hornets punting deep in their own territory, junior Keegan Clay made a huge play. The linebacker blocking the punt, it was then recovered by teammate Austin Allenback for an easy touchdown.

"I remember going up to the line and looking at the kid and thinking, I'm going to bulldoze right over you and block it," Clay said.

A terrific effort leading to a 21-7 win and our News 5 Sports Special Teams play of the year!

"I sized him up and was like this is my time to shine," Clay said. "Just blew through and blocked it. I didn't even feel it, was just so surreal, next thing I know we have a touchdown, everyone is celebrating, it was amazing."
