There were three great efforts but only one could be the News 5 Sports "Rushing Touchdown of the Year."

The 2019 winner comes as no surprise, with Pine Creek senior tailback David Moore III taking the top honors for his playoff touchdown against Longmont.

"Against Longmont, I had a lot of big runs, our offensive line was definitely doing work in that game," Moore said.

Early in the first quarter, the Eagles star took a hand-off from around the 40-yard line and cut through the Trojans defense on his way into the end zone.

Pine Creek would win the game 48-13 enroute to their second Class 4A state football title for the graduating senior class.

"DM3" as he is often called would end his high school career ranked third all-time in Colorado with 7, 627 rushing yards. This fall, he'll begin his collegiate football career at Southern Utah.

"On that first run, I don't know what was really going through my head," Moore said. "I broke a tackle and was like I'm going to score, nobody is taking me down. I made one man miss, couple others miss, had downfield blocking from my teammates which made it perfect, just an awesome touchdown."
