COLORADO SPRINGS — Being apart of the Pine Creek football team is more than just suiting up on a Friday night.
It's about legacy, traditions and champions.
So 2019 the motto has been 'We want more'.
But after being knocked out of the 4A playoffs, in the quarterfinals last year, isn't the standard of PC football.
So with two 3-star prospects, in Max lLofy and David Moore III, and a ton of experience on both sides of the ball, the Eagles are literally looking for more.
"(We) just (want to) annihilate the other team. That's how we're coming this year," said Moore III.
"i have a hard time remembering the wins," explained Pine Creek head coach Todd Miller. "But the losses with me stick."
"We weren't really united last year," Moore III went onto say. "So this year we have been over a brotherhood. We been kind of been busting out butts and waking up early. So that has been the motto right now."
And that brotherhood is made up by one of the most talented Eagle teams in recent memory.
"We are all seniors, like we are all seniors," Moore III said with a smile on his face. "Like it is going to be a great year."
So the 2019 standard is set, a state title or bust.
"I mean it's what every school in Colorado wants," explained senior defensive back Max Lofy. "When you have had a taste of it and kind of experienced it like my freshman year. Like you need to bring it back, you want that feeling again."
