PUEBLO — 10 NFL Draft prospects have been training with former Broncos defensive lineman Antwon Burton and other trainers at the PBR Sports Performance Center in Pueblo.
The talented college players from across the country have been working on the physical, mental and financial demands required of athletes at the next level.
"I feel like this is the best place to help me get ready," Western Kentucky wide receiver Lucky Jackson said. "Great facility, great training staff around a bunch of good guys and I feel this puts me in the best position".
With the 2020 NFL Draft and pending free agency ahead, spending time with a former league veteran is a rare asset these players are making sure to take advantage of.
"It is a great opportunity to be around someone who went through the process," West Chester defensive end Ch'aim Smith said. "Who knows how it is going to be for someone like me who is going to be undrafted preferred free agent."
