LAMAR — There were three great choices for the Friday Football Fever: Play of the Night for week 5, however one left viewers in awe of this selfless act.

With over 100 votes, Lamar's Devyn Kincade and Damien Ramos took home the honors.

In the Savages games against Trinidad last Friday night, Lamar was already up big in the first quarter.

Ramos, who is a running back for the Savages, caught a screen pass inside the redzone and had room to make it to the endzone.

But before Ramos cross the goal line, he handed the ball off to offensive lineman Kincade, to let his teammate score his first touchdown of his high school career.

According to the seniors, this unselfish trick play has been years in the making.

The call was 29-packard and after the huddle broke Damien said this is it, run to the inside of me and I am going to get you the ball," explained Kincade.

"Our offensive line does so much for me," added Ramos. "I would not be as good of a running back as I am without them and Devyn is always the main blocker. Against Elizabeth, in our first game, he took our three people for me and I scored on a touchdown. Devyn has been getting me all season, and I wanted to get him his first touchdown."

Lamar ended up beating Trinidad, 54 to 0 and will play Alamosa in their final game of the season.
