Indians, Rangers hold off tough competition Monday

Two of the best teams in Class 4A boys basketball took the court Monday night looking to start their weeks off with big victories.

No. 1 Cheyenne Mountain held off a tough battle from Sand Creek, winning 60-55 to improve to 10-0 on the season.

Up I-25, No. 9 Lewis-Palmer picked up a much-needed victory, holding off a late rally by Discovery Canyon 69-62.

With the win, the Rangers stop their recent skid, moving to 7-4 this year.
