SOUTHERN COLORADO — The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies, the Pueblo South Colts & the Lewis-Palmer Rangers all took home victories on Saturday.
In the early tip, Mesa Ridge paid a visit to the Classical Academy for an epic showdown.
Down 1-point heading into the 4th quarter, the Grizzlies came alive and held off the Titans for the 52 to 50 win.
The win moves Mesa Ridge to 3-2 and will take on Harrison, on the road, on Monday.
For TCA, the fall to 1-4 and will hit the road to face Mitchell on Monday.
On the south side of Colorado Springs, Sierra hosted undefeated Pueblo South, in a matinee tip.
The Colts proved to be Pueblo tough, and pull away with a 45 to 37 victory.
South remains undefeated at 5-0 and will continue league play on Tuesday when they host Pueblo West.
For the Stallions, they are still looking for their first win of the season, and will try to capture it on Monday when they host Elizabeth.
In the nightcap, Lewis-Palmer (coming off their first loss of the season) hosted the Pueblo East Eagles in Monument.
Like the rest of the games of the day, this one was tight to the end with the Rangers pulling out the 67 to 62 victory.
With the win, Lewis-Palmer moves to 4-1 and will hit the road for a Tuesday night match-up with Pine Creek.
As for the Eagles (2-2), East will continue league play with a road game at Pueblo County on Tuesday.
