This week's Friday Football Fever: Game of the Week is a rematch of last Thursday's thrilling 17-14 Rampart win over Fountain-Fort Carson at Garry Berry Stadium.
After Pueblo West and Mesa Ridge saw their seasons come to an end due to issues relating to COVID-19, the two schools needed to pick up an opponent and met for the second time in a week.
Friday night's showdown decided the 4A Southern League and locked down a playoff spot in the final game of the regular season.
Fountain-Fort Carson came out on top, beating Rampart 33-17.
Two senior players two watch out for in this contest are Rams two-way standout, Cale Cormaney, and Trojans star running back, Q. Jones.
Cormaney leads RHS with 14 total touchdowns and two interceptions this season. Jones is the engine that powers the FFC rushing attack with more than 1,200 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2020.
"Great win and team win, in general, I think that gives us a bit of a confidence boost," Cormaney said. "Want to use this momentum to roll over to the final regular-season game. Let it carry us and keep doing what we've been doing."
"We can be beaten, anyone can be beaten, so to hear we have them again," Jones said. "It's definitely exciting because I want to redeem myself, I hate losing."
