COLORADO SPRINGS — With more than 1,000 votes, Discovery Canyon junior two-way standout Justin Pruitt's Pick-6 wins the Friday Football Fever Play of the Week.
An exclamation point in the Thunder's 48-14 season-opening win against Mitchell at Garry Berry Stadium, the 92-yard interception return for a touchdown showed this program still has plenty of talent heading into 2020.
"When I caught it, I knew nobody was catching me, working so hard to get to this point, I knew I was gone," Pruitt said. "Junior year, just wanted to do something good, I felt it, I knew it, I saw it and I made the move."
Discovery Canyon will look to add to their first win of the season when they travel to Lutheran this Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
