Two of Southern Colorado's top high school football teams started their postseason runs in impressive fashion Friday night.
In Class 4A, No. 1 seed Pine Creek handled No.16 Longmont 48-13, jumping out to a 28-0 first quarter lead and never looking back at District 20 Stadium.
It was a similar story in the Class 3A showdown at Don Breese Stadium, where No. 4 Palmer Ridge quarterback Luke McCallister threw six first half touchdowns in a 63-7 win against No. 13 Holy Family.
With the victories, the Eagles and Bears advance to round two next weekend.
