COLORADO SPRINGS — Air Academy senior standout Are'an Burr is staying home, choosing to play college football at Air Force next year.

"The Air Force Academy's a great school can't beat it, the coaches love me," Burr said. "I was looking for a program where I could thrive and the coaches would help me become a better man. The academics are also great and will challenge me."

Rated as one of the top linebackers in the state, the 6'1, 200 lb. defensive force for the Kadets has compiled 30 tackles and three tackles for a loss this season.

Burr selected the Falcons over Montana State and Northern Arizona. His grandmother served in the military, which added a family element to the decision.

"It's so special, I know my grandma is looking down and smiling," Burr said.
