COLORADO COLLEGE — Colorado College head coach Mike Haviland announced this past week the addition of two transfer players in Hugo Blixt and Brian Hawkinson to the 2020-2021 roster.

Blixt, a 6'4" defenseman, played 47 games the past two seasons for Boston University. During his sophomore campaign, Blixt played in only 10 games, including six Hockey East contests.

Hawkinson, a 5'10" forward, played in 60 games during his two seasons at NCHC-rival Miami University. As a freshman, he finished second on the team in rookie scoring and tied for fifth overall with 16 points (3g,13a) in 34 games with the RedHawks. Hawkinson dished out a pair of assists in 26 games last season as a sophomore.

"We are excited to add these two veteran players to our team," Haviland said. "They are smart and play the game with a high compete level. Both are high character people that have tremendous leadership qualities."

Both transfers are eligible to play this upcoming season and have two years of eligibility remaining.
