Scoreless into the third period, Colorado College (2-2-1, 1-2-1) turned up the intensity, netting four of the game's five goals to defeat Miami (OH) 4-1 (1-6-0, 1-5-0) Tuesday night at Baxter Arena.

The victory is the second-straight for the Tigers, who've won back-to-back contests for the first time in the NCHC pod. CC outshot the Redhawks 30-18 on the evening.

"The good teams learn how to win 3, 4, 5 in a row, that's the message, that's what we want to teach," head coach Mike Haviland said.

Grant Cruikshank, Patrick Cozzi, Ben Copeland, and Logan Will found the back of the net in the final 20 minutes, with Josiah Slavin adding two assists in the contest.

"The last two games have been really good for us and it has shown," Slavin said. "Need to keep playing the same way, same details and I think we'll be just fine."

Goaltender Dominic Basse started between the pipes and made 17 saves for his second-career victory.

Colorado College returns to action on Friday, Dec. 18, against ninth-ranked St. Cloud State, beginning at 7:35 p.m. (CT).
