Hammond III has been out since the summer after not being in good standing with the Air Force Academy https://t.co/pJnIT1wDl2
Thus, Hammond III did not play in Air Force's first game against Navy and is no longer listed on the football roster.
The Georgia native was the expected starting quarterback for the Falcons heading into the 2020 season and was named to the Davey O'Brien Award Watch List, which recognizes the best quarterback in college football.
Starting 11 of 13 games last season, the dual-threat standout rushed for 553 yards and a team-best 13 rushing touchdowns while adding 1,316 yards through the air and an additional 13 scores.
Hammond ranked second in the Mountain West in scoring (touchdowns) with a 6.2 average and 10th in passing yards with a 101.2 norm. His 177.88 quarterback efficiency rating is the second-best in school history.
The Falcons will begin Mountain West Conference play on Saturday at San Jose State.
