USAFA — With the Big Ten Conference's most recent decision of only playing in-conference matches this fall, Air Force football's September game at Purdue has been canceled.
The game was schedule for September 19th in West Lafayette.
"The Air Force Academy is disappointed that our football team will not have the opportunity play at Purdue this season, in light of today’s Big Ten announcement," said Air Force Athletic Director Nathan Pine in a statement to News 5 Sports. "It’s too early to speculate, but we will review our options with Purdue on a resolution of the contract and will concurrently evaluate our options with the opening created on our 2020 schedule."
The 2020 match-up would of been the first time the Boilermakers & Falcons would meet on the football field in both programs history.
