Air Force hockey swept by AIC on opening weekend

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Air Force hockey's comeback wasn't complete on Saturday afternoon at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Mass.

The Falcons would fall to AIC, 2 to 1 after out shooting the Yellow Jackets 12-3, in the 3rd period.

The Falcons were 1-for-7 on the power play (goal by Willie Reim), while AIC was 1-for-5. Alex Schilling made 22 saves for the Falcons while Stefano Durante had 21 for the home team.

With the loss, the Falcons were swept in their weekend series.

Air Force (0-2 overall, 0-2 AHA) returns home for a two-game conference series against Robert Morris, Friday-Saturday, Dec. 4-5, at the Cadet Ice Arena.
