Air Force football receives some preseason accolades

After an 11-2 season, capped off by a Cheez-It bowl win, it is not surprising the Air Force Falcon football team is receiving preseason accolades ahead of the 2020 season.

Air Force senior offensive lineman Nolan Laufenberg was been named second-team preseason All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, according to an announcement today by the organization.

He is the first Falcon to earn Walter Camp All-American honors since Carlton McDonald in 1992.

In addition, Air Force senior inside linebacker Demonte Meeks is one of 42 players named to the 17th Annual Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list, announced by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation.

Althon Sports also announced their preseason All-Mountain West teams with both Meeks, Laufenbergon and offensive lineman Parker Fergeson landing on the first team.

On the second team. running back Kaden Remsberg, quarterback DJ Hammond the III & defensive lineman Jordan Jackson made the cut.

The Falcons begin the 2020 season at home on September 5th, hosting Duquense.
