The Air Force men's basketball team fell to Idaho State 89-79 in their season opener Thursday night at Clune Arena.
Four players scored in double figures for the Falcons, including a team-high 17 points from guard A.J. Walker. Fellow guard Chris Joyce added 14 points while preseason Mountain West All-First Team forward Lavelle Scottie chipped in with 13 on the night.
Despite making 27 field goals, Dave Pilipovich's team did not have an answer on the other end of the floor where Bengals guard Tarik Cool dropped 41 points in the road win.
Air Force will look for their first win Saturday afternoon when they host Texas State at 2 p.m.
