PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police department are seeing an uptick in drivers speeding and driving recklessly ever since the state's stay at home order due to COVID-19.

Officers say they have been stopping a lot more drivers lately to avoid accidents.

"When you're involved in a traffic accident, allow that we can't do that we have to attend to you and make sure you're OK," said Pueblo Police Sgt. Frank Ortega. "It takes away from the social distancing and everything else that we are trying to practice. So it just puts a lot more people at risk and they used to."

PPD say the biggest area of concern is I-25 in the city area, were they have seen a ton of drivers violate the law.
