COLORADO SPRINGS — There's no arguing that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed a massive portion of our daily lives.
In the midst of these changes, many local businesses are finding ways to overcome and adapt to keep their doors open, while at the same time, help those around them.
Similarly, businesses hit hard are reporting a tremendous outpouring of support from the community.
This outpouring reminding all of us that while this global epidemic has changed so much, it HASN'T changed people's desire for community.
This is We're Open Colorado, a segment dedicated to highlighting local businesses that are still open and finding unique ways to serve the community.
With all of this in mind, let's take a look at Mueller's Auto Inc. which is working to donate free oil changes to healthcare workers and first responders in the Pueblo area.
The business has traditionally spent this time of the year giving back and this year, with all that's going on, decided to aim that effort towards those who have been on the frontline of this entire crisis.
The hope is to provide some peace of mind, take a little off the plates of those giving all they have to keep our communities safe, and also to generate and bolster morale.
"So obviously a smile is what we're looking for, we want to see people excited to get back on the road and see their car running really well," stated Brandon Mueller, CEO of the organization.
"That's so awesome, and we definitely all appreciate it," commented one healthcare worker, "it feels good to have someone do something for us and make sure we're taken care of."
Mueller asks that those healthcare workers and first responders who are interested in the free oil change and brief safety inspection, contact Mueller's Auto Inc. via their main line or through text (preferred) at (719) 309-4009.
