COLORADO SPRINGS — There's no arguing that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed a massive portion of our daily lives.
In the midst of these changes, many local businesses are finding ways to overcome and adapt to keep their doors open, while at the same time, help those around them.
Similarly, businesses hit hard are reporting a tremendous outpouring of support from the community.
This outpouring reminding all of us that while this global epidemic has changed so much, it HASN'T changed people's desire for community.
This is We're Open Colorado, a segment dedicated to highlighting local businesses that are still open and finding unique ways to serve the community.
With all of this in mind, let's take a look at Embracing Spirit Yoga run by Stacie Wyatt who is working to provide a donation based set of online yoga instructional videos to help those stuck at home maintain a level of self care.
During a normal year, Stacie runs her own studio and also teaches classes for multiple organizations throughout Colorado Springs including working with those who are in long term care.
When the current crisis struck she shifted everything online, continuing to work with those in long term care as well as offering video classes to anyone and everyone.
Her classes online are donation based, because Stacie believes that everyone should have access to yoga if they need or want it.
"This is a time when we should become more of a community than ever," Stacie stated.
