DENVER – Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and adviser, will embark Thursday on a two-day trip to Colorado for a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park with the Interior secretary and a tour of a child care facility with Sen. Cory Gardner and others.

Trump and Interior Secretary David Bernhardt will tout the Great American Outdoors Act while at RMNP Thursday morning, which the House is expected to vote on for final passage on Wednesday afternoon. The Senate version is sponsored by Gardner and cosponsored by Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo.

On Friday morning, Trump and Gardner will tour an undisclosed child care facility with representatives from the Department of Labor and Department of Health and Human Services – after which they will join a roundtable discussion on safely reopening child care centers, the White House said.

“I am looking forward to visiting the great state of Colorado and learning how this administration’s policies are helping citizens across the state. Working with Senator Gardner on the Great American Outdoors Act, we are securing funding for the next 100 years to preserve our National parks and public lands,” Trump said in a statement provided by the White House.

Bernhardt, in a statement, credited “President Trump’s leadership and Senator Cory Gardner” for supporting the Great American Outdoors Act.

Trump was last in Colorado last July, when she visited Lockheed Martin. She also visited the state several times during the 2016 campaign.
