The Pikes Peak region saw lots of snow early Thursday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory was also in effect.
Several school districts announced delays or cancellations, but some school districts say they are open for a remote learning day.
This comes after earlier this week snow covered more than 73% of the continental United States, according to National Weather Service data. By comparison, 36% of the US was covered by snow this time last year.
The snow cover is the most seen in the US since 2003.
