MONTANA — The Medford Police Department in Oregon announced Sunday that they have learned from Montana authorities of a deceased two-year-old, believed to be Aiden Salcido.

The Oregon Police Department made the announcement on Facebook and said remains, believed to be that of the boy, were located in a remote area of Montana.

A positive I.D. has not yet been made, but the remains were located in the same area that the boy's parents were seen days earlier, according to the Medford Police Department.

Medford PD said witnesses called in tips after seeing the story on the news and helped authorities locate the remote camp believed to be occupied by the boy's parents.

The cause and manner of death will not be released until an autopsy is performed.

According to Medford Police, Aiden's parents were involved in an apparent murder/suicide.
