FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Several people were hospitalized after a driver drove their vehicle onto a sidewalk along Mountain Avenue in Old Town, striking the pedestrians who were on the sidewalk, according to Fort Collins Police.
Six people, including the driver, were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Police were on scene around 12:30 p.m. along Mountain Avenue, which is closed in both directions from College Avenue to Mason Avenue, while the Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling team conducts its investigation.
It is unclear if the crash involved Tour de Fat participants, according to police. It is also unclear if the driver was arrested or issued a citation.
