COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — The woman who died after being hit by a truck earlier this month in Colorado Springs has been identified.

According to the El Paso County Coroner's Office, she was 40-year-old Tracey Yost.
This was the 39th traffic death in the city this year, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). They say at this time last year, there were 34 deadly crashes.

Background Information
The crash happened just before 5 a.m. on Friday, August 7 at the North Powers Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard interchange, which is located near the Cimarron Hills area.
According to a preliminary investigation from CSPD, a truck was traveling northbound on North Powers Boulevard when it hit a woman at Palmer Park Boulevard.
The woman, later identified as Yost, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to CSPD.
