PUEBLO, Colo. (KOAA) — A suspect was taken to the hospital after being shot by police in Pueblo Tuesday evening.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 800 block of E. 5th Street, which is located on the east side of the city.
According to the Pueblo Police Department, officers responded to a barricaded suspect who opened fire on police. Officers returned fire, hitting the suspect.
Police say no officers were injured. The suspect was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
