LONE TREE, Colo. — In-N-Out Burger is eyeing a location near Park Meadows mall for its first restaurant in the Denver metro area.

The California-based chain with a passionate following has submitted a site improvement plan for a parcel of land at 9171 Westview Road. That site currently is home to a Suds Factory Car Wash and Conoco gas station.

In-N-Out is proposing demolishing the car wash and gas station and constructing a 3,867-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and outdoor seating.

According to documents submitted to the city, the restaurant will operate seven days a week and will employee between 45 and 90 people in Lone Tree, with additional jobs possible in the metro area.

Before construction can begin, the plans need to go before the city's planning commission and city council.

If all goes according to plan, the company anticipates opening sometime in late 2020.

In February, In-N-Out secured land in Colorado Springs in the Interquest area for its first distribution center and restaurant in Colorado. An opening date for that location has not been announced.
