With the recent spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), several local teams and organizations have decided to restrict access to fans for the foreseeable future.
Air Force, University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Colorado College will play their games as scheduled this weekend without spectators. Only essential personnel and limited family members will be allowed to attend the contests.
The CHSAA boys and girls state basketball tournament will proceed as planned in Denver, Greeley and Loveland this weekend without a large cheering section as well. Each player will be limited to four guests, with team personnel and credentialed media also allowed into the facilities. News 5 Sports will have full coverage of the Class 1A, 2A, 3A & 4A tournaments throughout the next three days.
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Center has suspended media events but will remain open to athletes and the public at this time.
