PUEBLO — The organization POSADA now has emergency money through a state grant to help veterans in need in the Pueblo community.

POSADA has received just over $18,000 in emergency funding meant to be used to help any military vets who might be coming upon hard times having trouble paying rent or bills.

The organization says it's important to help everyone, especially our servicemembers, "so that they can stay maintained, they can stay in their house, they can stay employed, all the state is doing for veterans is important, " says LaTanya Yarbrough, a case manager at POSADA.

Anyone in the community who wants to see if they can qualify can contact POSADA directly. The office is located at 111 North Avenue in Pueblo and operates from 8 a.m. to 12p.m. Monday through Friday.
