Former Vice President Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign says it raised $6.3 million in the first 24 hours after he officially announced his candidacy. That’s more than any other Democrat currently running.
Aides say more than 96,000 people donated, and 97% of online donations were less than $200.
Biden also held his first major fundraiser Thursday, raking in $500,000.
