COLORADO SPRINGS — Story Coffee Company has been situated in Acacia Park since 2015 and since 2018 they have been actively working to support their Springs neighbors experiencing trying times or homelessness by donating five percent of all revenue to Marian House.

Throughout 2020 Don and Carissa Niemyer have been absolutely blown away by the amount of support they have received from customers and those in our community.

"People are swinging in to grab a cup of coffee on their way to work," stated Carissa, "and while that action hasn't changed, the intention has changed in a lot of ways."

"They'll just pull out their cash and say, we just came by to buy some stuff to support you guys," continued Don.

"Just the intentionality in which people are approaching small business and their neighbors and their family has been really inspiring," finished Carissa.

The active community support has allowed the small coffee shop based in a tiny home and parked in Acacia Park to continue their active mission of donating five cents out of every dollar to Marian House.

"It's been an amazing partnership, they are just such a giving organization," stated one representative from Marian House.

"We're so grateful for the people who walk into our shop and share a smile and how their day is going and we hope to do that with them as well, and it's just gratitude; [so] if we can take a little bit of that and pass it along, that's as good as it gets," finished Don.
