COLORADO SPRINGS — Droves of drivers behind the wheels of hundreds of automobiles spent their Sunday cruising through Old Colorado City, Manitou, and Colorado Springs showing off custom builds and classic cars to anyone and everyone, an event organizers hope will strengthen community and raise funds to advance the research of Alzheimer's.

The annual Old Colorado City Car Show, hosted by Ace Entertainment and now in its fourth year, usually takes the form of a stationary show which draws massive crowds and includes hundreds of vehicles.

With the restrictions on public gatherings and mandated social distancing, Ace Entertainment has decided to attempt to raise the morale of the local community with a safe event for all. This year’s cruise will add a unique twist to see the cars that participate in the Old Colorado City Car Show.

This year the format shifted to a cruise in order to allow viewers and drivers the opportunity to stay physically distant while still enjoying some gorgeous automobiles.

Last year the event hosted more than 600 vehicles and saw 15,000 attendees.

This year Ace Entertainment hopes to more than double the number of vehicles in the cruise and reach as many people as possible.

The event also acts as a way for the organization to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association which works to further the research into Alzheimer's.
