LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – A woman who was denied an extreme risk protection order against a Colorado State University officer last month and who was wanted on two felony charges, including perjury, was arrested Tuesday in Larimer County.
Susan Holmes, 64, was arrested at 5:19 p.m. by Fort Collins Police and booked into the Larimer County Detention Center, according to a department spokesperson.
She was arrested five days after a Larimer County District Court Judge issued a warrant for her arrest on two class 4 felonies: perjury and attempting to influence a public servant.
Back in January, a judge denied her petition for a “red flag" order against the CSU police officer who killed her son in 2017 in a shooting that was found to be justified. Holmes reportedly lied on the petition, claiming to have a child with the officer.
The judge in the case denied her request for the Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) over lack of evidence because Holmes refused to testify.
Holmes was featured in a “most wanted” bulletin from the sheriff’s office.
