COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department has identified the man who died in a shooting on the southeast side of Colorado Springs on Sept. 4.
He was identified as 34-year-old Martin Rodriguez Ramirez of Colorado Springs.
Around 10 p.m. on Sept. 4, officers were dispatched on a disturbance call in the 4500 block of London Lane, that's near Chelton Rd. and Astrozon Blvd.
According to police, a physical altercation turned into a shooting.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said the Coroner's Officer will make the official cause and manner of death determination, but said Ramirez's death is being investigated as a homicide.
This continues to be an active investigation.
