COLORADO SPRINGS — The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region announced Thursday it is offering child care services to healthcare and human services providers, critical support staff, and emergency first responders.

Care for children ages 5-12 will be available Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Garden Ranch YMCA, located at 2380 Montebello Drive West in Colorado Springs.

The YMCA says it is offering child care to support the needs of the community.

"Though our programmatic operations are temporarily suspended, our organization is laser focused on serving the dynamic and changing needs of the community,” said Boyd Williams, President & CEO of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region. “The Pikes Peak Region is uniquely qualified to be a community that brings entities and individuals together that serves the most pressing causes during a time such as this and the Y will continue to be one of the organizations leading the efforts."
