COLORADO SPRINGS — The Friday before Veterans Day always means a special breakfast at the YMCA.
The annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast was held Friday morning at the Briargate Y.
More than 200 vets were on hand for the event that started food from Aspen Pointe Cafe.
"This is probably one of our favorite events each year," said YMCA CEO Boyd WIlliams. "You know, we're such a military community, and for us to be able to give back, we serve the military, the Y has been serving the military since eighteen fifty-one."
The event continues to grow each year.
Along with breakfast, vets were treated to speakers and entertainment.
