Some consider Wooglin's Deli near downtown Colorado Springs to be the best in town.
Well, when you are handed lemons, you make lemonade, and that's the mantra they have adopted as they are forced to move their existing restaurant as construction begins on the Colorado College campus for the new ice arena and hall.
The original location at Tejon and Cache Le Poudre, is in fact, going to be torn down to accomodate the construction, so they have announced they will open back up on the northeast side of town, at Barnes and Oro Blanco, the location of the old Boriello Brothers pizza shop that closed.
The manager of Wooglin's told News5 that while they were forced to make a decision on whether to just wait out the construction and rebuild, they rolled the dice, and say they want to bring their unique deli taste to a different part of the city, and tap in to a different part of the market they may otherwise, not know about them.
And once the arena construction on the CC campus is complete, both locations will remain open. The one on campus will actually be on the grounds of the new venue.
