COLORADO SPRINGS — A woman was forced to the ground and had her purse taken while she was walking into a store Monday evening, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Officers said the victim was entering a department store in the 1700 block of Briargate Blvd. at 6 p.m. when the suspect, described as a tall skinny male, grabbed her from behind the neck to force her to the ground.
Officers said along with the victim's purse, her phone was also taken.
CSPD said the suspect took off on foot through the parking lot, but officers were unable to find anyone matching the description.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
