Woman arrested on arson charge in connection to fire at Temple Emanuel

PUEBLO — Wednesday, Pueblo police officers and firefighters responded to Temple Emanuel regarding a structure fire.

Pueblo Police said firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Officers conducted an investigation and identified a suspect in the fire, which is being considered arson, according to Pueblo Police.

The suspect, identified as 62-year-old Patricia DeCesaro, was taken into custody at the scene. She was taken to the Pueblo Police Department for questioning and then transferred to the Pueblo County Detention Center.

DeCesaro is facing charges of First Degree Arson and Second Degree Burglary.

Pueblo Police said that based on the investigation, it is not believed that this incident has any connection with the extremist bomb plot that was thwarted in 2019.
