WOODLAND PARK — The Woodland Park Police Department reported a wildland fire east of Highway 24 Friday afternoon.
Police said the fire was in the area of Sunrise Ct. and Morning Sun Dr.
This is across from the Walmart in Woodland Park.
The department initially asked residents in the area of Sunrise Ct. to evacuate. Approximately 30 minutes later, the department reported evacuations were lifted and residents could return home.
The fire started sometime after 3:30 p.m. and crews worked quickly to contain it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
