COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Fire Department says a grass fire on Thursday started as a homeless camp fire that got out of control.
It started before 2 p.m. inside a gully along Galley Rd., near Wooten, and was out around 3:15 p.m. It burned an area about 50 feet by fifty feet.
No injuries were reported, and the exact cause of the fire is under investigation.

Most of the terrain in the area where the fire started is low grass, but there are several trees in the area.
