COLORADO SPRINGS — UPDATE: The U.S. Air Force Academy says the south gate has reopened.
It was closed earlier Thursday afternoon due to a security incident at the Large Vehicle Inspection Site.
A spokesperson for the Academy declined to elaborate on the incident.

A spokesperson says people can still enter the Academy through the north gate.
