COLORADO SPRINGS — It has been one year since UCCS opened its downtown facility in Colorado Springs.
Chancellor Venkat Reddy updated stakeholders and city council Monday on the success of the first semester.
More than 60 students take part in five classes in the building. Three of those are graduate classes, two are undergraduate.
The facility has also become a popular meeting place downtown.
"We have alumni gatherings happening here. We have community folks and industry folks having meetings here and we're encouraging them to come meet, so it's really become that coming together place," said Reddy.
The chancellor also said the success of the downtown campus will determine possibilities for other expansions.
